The atmosphere was buzzing Sunday afternoon in Manheim, PA at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex for the A-Game SuperShootout. Two well coached AAU basketball teams went at it for the 12u championship, Team Cam and Legendary Ballers. At first glance it looked as if Legendary Ballers would have the slight advantage of possibly size and athleticism. However, once the ball was tipped, Team Cam would prove otherwise.
Malachi Palmer, the youngest player on the Team Cam squad had 24 first half points including starting out 6/7 from three and 9/11 from field overall. His teammates did a tremendous job of finding the ten-year-old sniper, continuously feeding his hot hand and riding him while he was on absolute fire. The Score was 11-7 with 8:05 left on the clock when Houston then proceeded to hit every shot in the remainder of the half. He scored 11 straight points for Team Cam in less than a minute, extending their 4 point Lead to 22-7.
Edward Holland on the Legendary Ballers was very assertive and tried his best to keep his team in it, hitting a buzzer beater before the half closing the gap to 30-19. But team Cam was just too much. They kept they’re foot on the gas and played a very efficient second half. Palmer added 6 points to his 24 first half points and finished with a game high 30 points. Edward Holland led all Legenday Ballers with a heartfelt 27 points, him and his teammates didn’t quit. The final score was 59-43.
